Important results from the project

The aim of the project was to deepen the collaboration between National Metrology Institute and the academy by the supervision of a doctoral student as well as to maximize the benefit of the doctoral student´s work. Within the framework of the project, several articles have been written and new measurement techniques have been developed. The supervision has made it possible to make good use of the doctoral student´s work which will be highly relevant to the research at the National Metrology Institute for a long time to come. In conclusion, the goals of the project have been achieved

Expected long term effects

The results from the project, as well as the doctoral student´s own research project, have been excellent. Over the durration of the project, about 10 articles have been written and an advanced measuring instrument that will be able to be used for a long time by the National Metrology Institute has been designed. The assessment is that the supervision have been importat for these results. The collaboration between Riksmätplatsen and the academy has also been able to be deepened within the framework of this project. It is estimated that the project will lead to new project within the field.

Approach and implementation

The work within the project has taken place via direct supervision in the form of regular contact. Although Covid-19 has been a limited factor, the supervision have worked well.
