Important results from the project
The aim is to develop a solid cooperation with the purpose to increase potential and ability for NGO:s and the municipality to work together with care for the elderly and people with disabilities. We achieve this by developing a new rehabilitative working method. In this first step the project consisted of a number of subprojects, which worked out what changes are needed in each area of expertise. In step 2, the suggested changes will be tested/developed together in a limited geographical area. I step 3 it will be implemented in the entire municipality. The aim of step 1 is achieved.
Expected long term effects
The Projects effect in the long run is that each citizen should be able to live life the way he or she wants and that his/her independence is increased. We expect to se these effects after the third step. The result of the first step is a model and a concrete rehabilitative working method, and well-founded recommendations from the other sub-projects that in the next step will be tested in a designated geografical area. The results and suggestions from the sub-projects are solid and constitutes a good foundation for the next step. We are were we expected to be.
Approach and implementation
Many co-workers have participated in the sub-projects, as well as Consultants and Citizens. The later through for exemple focusgroups. The projectpartners worked well together and were all deeply involved. All the sub-projects had a large task, hence a high intensity and much work within a short time. The sub-projects started up gradually. The model for the municipality was the first sub-project to start, then followed by the others. A longer timespan for the sub-projects would have been preferable, but all the sub-prjects have delivered.
