Important results from the project

The project aimed to carry out various activities to develop and verify Svalnas Carbon Intelligence System (TM), which enables calculations of the total climate footprint from all types of economic activities. Svalna verified interest and developed functionality and design in close collaboration with prospective customers. The new web-interface was implemented as part of the project.

Expected long term effects

Through the project, Svalna gained an increased understanding of the customers´ concrete needs and was given the opportunity to develop solutions to respond to these, which in turn contributed to Svalna´s ability to win two procurements during the project period. We also expect to be invited to further procurements as our solution is now established for some important customer segments.

Approach and implementation

The project consisted of three activities: market research, needs analysis including user testing and development of design, and implementation of design in digital platform. The market research showed that customers willingness to pay was difficult to verify for a solution that was still in the making, and a decision was made to focus on needs analysis, development, design and implementation for the contacts who showed clear interest in the solution. The project was carried out according to plan for 3 of 4 activities.
