Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose of the project was to develop material parameters to prepare a development project where a new scaffold material for cell growth will be optimized. In addition, a test protocol and an IP / business analysis would be performed. The idea was that this work would also lead to the creation of a strong international consortium. The project has been very successful and all objective have been met. In addition, a strong consortium has been created and a proposal has been submitted. Several will also be submitted in the spring of 2022.
Expected long term effects
The project has generated high-quality data on materials and test parameters that have been used as a basis for a proposal to EIC Pathfinder and for an upcoming Horizon Europe call for proposals. The project has also created an international consortium and financed a comprehensive regulatory analysis, as well as an analysis of business potential and a suitable business model. This work has been carried out via both external experts and by staff at the company. A number of interviews and meetings have been held with end users, which has resulted in their involvement in the upcoming project.
Approach and implementation
The project has included several meetings with partners. A one-day workshop was held in Stockholm where all partners participated. The purpose was to decide on a suitable approach for a joint project with the aim of validating a scaffold material in three applications. In parallel, a regulatory / business analysis was carried out by external and internal experts. The setup proved to be successful as it provided an opportunity to gather the consortium and create a consensus. However, more internal resources were required for an analysis of the business potential.
