Purpose and goal
There are many methods for removing dissolved oxygen from water, mainly used in laboratory applications but also potentially in other industries. This removal is necessary to obtain reproducible experimental data. However, these methods are time-consuming and expensive. Our idea is to develop an efficient and sustainable flow deoxygenation electrolyzer using a conductive (carbon-based) polymer, specifically the n-doped polymer poly(benzodifurandione) (PBFDO).
Expected effects and result
We expect to achieve the following results: 1. Manufacture a working prototype of the dissolved oxygen electrolyzer and test it in both laboratory and real-world environments. We anticipate the solution will outperform other methods in terms of oxygen removal, be more energy-efficient, and more economical. 2. Conduct market research and develop a business plan to market the new solution to existing and potential customers.
Planned approach and implementation
The prototype will be manufactured and tested in Redoxme AB´s laboratories. Subsequently, it will be tested in one of our partner or client laboratories. Simultaneously, we will conduct market research on existing solutions and offers, as well as survey current and potential customers. This data will then be used to develop a business plan to commercialize the new solution.
