Purpose and goal

This project will accelerate the number of actionable initiatives to reduce nitrous oxide emissions from industrial and municipal water treatment through a cross-sector collaboration where we will map relevant actors, projects and measurement techniques, initiate the development of new measurement methods, investigate the need for model development and actor collaboration in order for digital tools to provide increased practical benefit and identify and prepare continuation project.

Expected effects and result

We are starting to work with a national platform, a website, where scientific knowledge and national experience are presented together with the contact details of key players. In the future, the website can be developed into a membership platform, a competence cluster, where, for example, joint data collection and processing can be carried out.

Planned approach and implementation

The project parties consist of two need owners and four solution owners. Among the reference actors are a further eighteen need owners and eleven solution owners. The project consists of four work packages (WPs). Three joint project meetings will be held during the project, two of which are physical with study visits and one is digital. The four APs are Measurement methods, Mitigation strategies, Digital tools and Planning of continuation projects.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
