Important results from the project

The objective of the project has been to develop an innovative cloud solution to help funeral directors to cope with the digitization through a bespoke SaaS solution with the ultimate objective to provide a better service to bereaved families. In conclusion, the overall objective has been obtained and it is possible for funeral directors and wills & probate lawyers to better help the bereaved through automation of processes. The platform is also adaptable to both Swedish and international requirements.

Expected long term effects

The project results is attributable to three areas: I) project result: Fenix has developed a modern cloud solution II) funeral director result: Fenix has used the system internally and can conclude that it a) increased the employee productivity b) helps to ensure a high quality delivery III) results for Fenix: thus far the system has not been sold and has not generated a revenue for Fenix yet.

Approach and implementation

Fenix has developed a cloud service with I) user interface (a.k.a. frontend) and II) microservice backend. I) The user interface has been as a React app with Bootstrap. The solution has worked well and the interface was developed in parallel to the backend services. II) The backend has been built with a microservice architecture on Amazon Web Services. The backend solution has worked as planned with no major problems.
