Important results from the project
The project’s purpose was to establish Cybercampus Sverige as a national platform strengthening Sweden’s cybersecurity through education, research, innovation, and collaboration across academia, government, and industry. Cybercampus is now a national coordination hub for cybersecurity, with operational governance, a growing partnership ecosystem, a national graduate school, joint education, research, and innovation initiatives, and strong visibility nationally and internationally.
Expected long term effects
Cybercampus Sweden’s role is to bridge academic research, innovation, and continuous learning. The partnership offering is co created with stakeholders across the cybersecurity ecosystem and aims to strengthen Sweden’s resilience and competitiveness by meeting national skills needs and creating new opportunities for collaboration. In the future, Cybercampus will further evolve into an even stronger national collaboration, provided that the support from partners and funding agencies continues.
Approach and implementation
Cybercampus built a national organisation with governance, funding, and 23 partners by 2026. It launched strong communication channels, national conferences, and annual reporting. Education delivered joint course catalogues, professional training, and international collaboration. Research advanced via a strategic agenda, shared infrastructure, a national graduate school, and key projects. Innovation efforts included startup pilots, ecosystem collaboration, and preparation of an IPR strategy.
