Purpose and goal

This aim of this project is to establish Cybercampus Sweden, which is organized as a national collaboration between several universities, research institutes, government agencies and companies across Sweden. Cybercampus will provide a vital hub for cybersecurity education, research, and innovation. The infrastructure that Cybercampus will provide will create unique and valuable opportunities for collaboration between universities and research institutes with government agencies and the private sector.

Expected effects and result

Cybercampus will make the field of cybersecurity an attractive as well as accessible career choice for many, while carrying out cutting-edge cybersecurity research and innovation. This will strengthen Sweden’s profile as an innovation-focused, knowledge-driven nation with an exceptionally competent cybersecurity workforce. At the same time, it will contribute to enhancing Sweden’s competitiveness by making the country an attractive and reliable business partner with an advanced and innovative cybersecurity ecosystem.

Planned approach and implementation

The list of specific activities includes: -Recruit staff to the Campus management team as well as professors and researchers -Secure long-term funding -Establish cooperation with universities and institutes and develop the Cybercampus educational program -Engage PhD- and post-doctoral students -Create and execute the priority list of specific research activities -Host activities such as conferences, webinars, and workshops
