Status Completed
Venture The strategic innovation programme Electronic Components and Systems:

Important results from the project

In this project we have achieved the sub-goals: 1) developed material matrix so that the Hall effect sensor meets the temperature requirements of manufacturing and environment and 2) developed suitable electronics to operate the sensor. Thus, we can now say that the Hall effect sensor is a good starting point for the design of an integrated current sensor.

Expected long term effects

The project has resulted in a prototype of a sensor that can take advantage of the unique properties of graphene (material level) another level, from component to system. Since the start of the project, we have now been able to connect with interested system suppliers who are now willing to evaluate our technology. The project has also resulted in a publication together with an external party.

Approach and implementation

The project has been going on for just over 16 weeks. Graphensic has manufactured materials and coordinated the project. Chalmers has produced Hall-effect devices of the graphene, developed temperature-resistant passivation method and characterized the components and also authored a publication with an external party.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
