Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to establish a national platform supporting an enhanced participation of small and medium sized museums and archives in Horizon 2020 and other relevant EU programmes. Further to position the CultureCloud concept on a European arena. The results are summarised in an action plan containing two steps: 2016-2017 and 2018 and forward.
Expected long term effects
The conditions are good for establishing a national platform to support small and medium sized cultural heritage institutions enhancing their participation in EU programmes. However, their willingness to actively enter into programs and projects must be improved. Many of them distrust their possibilities to handle an enlarged engagement due to lack of resources and competence. Therefore, the National Archives in 2015 will focus on conditions draw up in the action plan for 2016-2017.
Approach and implementation
The work has been executed by an expert group with external experts and employees active in different EU projects. Conditions and possible alternatives for enhanced participation has been analysed, the views an interests of cultural heritage institutions investigated, and the possibilities for Swedish SME to stronger their positions in the actual area identified. The results are summed up in an action plan and a plan for immediate actions (2015).
