Important results from the project
The project goal was to create an integrated toolchain in which different tool vendors could contribute with their respective part. The technology that was used within the project was shown to be mature enough, but due to the fact that different technologis are used today, it will take some time before the technology used in the project will break through.
Expected long term effects
Arccore has during the project continued its development on the AUTOSAR tools so that they can be used in a larger context. The main feature introduced by the project is that it is now possible to import configuration information from other tools. This will help the end-user to be more efficient and to minimize the risk of introducing errors. We have already today integrated the toolchain in customer environments and can see that they work as expected.
Approach and implementation
The setup of the project was that AB Volvo provided a number of use-cases describing how they would like to develop trucks in the future. In the next step all partners contributed with parts in their area of expertice. In the last phase an integration activitiy was executed. This was done in a number of events at AB Volvo where it was demonstrated that the use-cases were fulfilled with great success.
