Important results from the project
The purpose of the project to evaluate the technical and commercial requirements to develop a simple system to control inputs in the field is well met. Ax to Limpas systems GrowPro (TM) will be able to work with both old and new implements for variable application of seed, fertilizers and pesticides even if the implement wasn´t built to support variable application of input goods.
Expected long term effects
The project has resulted in that Ax till Limpa is well placed to launch a pilot product in 2015. Several new questions have emerged during the project and will be analyzed based on how these are best solved; with existing technologies or new development. The effect is that the company, with the implementation of the project will be able to enter a new phase where the pilot system will be used in real-life situation of a number of farmers. In the next stage, a fully commercialized product launched during 2015 or 2016.
Approach and implementation
The project´s scope proved to be somewhat larger than the first estimate implied. Overall, the project has gone over budget and exceeded the estimated hours with about 400 hours. Otherwise delimitations have been logical and work between the different technology platforms, web, ipad, external microprocessor, worked very well!
