Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose and goal of the project “Resource-smart industrial processes” was to start a national graduate school to strengthen research and education in process / chemical engineering at Swedish universities. Furthermore, to be an informative and advisory function for anyone who intended to submit a proposal to Vinnova´s call for proposals in the area. Then help with the start-up of the graduate school. Finally, write and submit a proposal for the continuation of this project. All objective have been achieved.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The result of the informational and advisory efforts was that 17 project applications were submitted to Vinnova for independent evaluation, which resulted in 11 of these being granted support. During the latter part, a number of planning / follow-up meetings have been held with the project managers for the approved projects, which has resulted in a graduate school and which basic doctoral courses will be given and how these will be implemented.
Approach and implementation
Due to the pandemic, the activities have been carried out with web-based systems. The first part of the project was of an informative and advisory nature. Two large web-based meetings were held here with participation from both the university and industry, and a number of telephone / web meetings were also held with regard to individual projects project. During the start of the graduate school, we have had 4 online meetings with the project managers for the 11 approved projects and a web-based kick-off. Everyone involved is now used to online meetings and I believe that all tasks were solved.
