Important results from the project
The project has essentially achieved its goals (however, with the distinction that the production capacity is not as high as stated in the application, as this is not necessary with the main applicant´s customer strategy). The existing products meet the cost requirement of 1 USD / watt by a margin.
Expected long term effects
Impact: the project has achieved a high-performance component that has reached the production stage and the main applicant now commercializes in close cooperation with a limited number of selected customers.
Approach and implementation
The project´s implementation has been in close contact between the parties with regular meetings (physical and skype). LiU´s role has been the advanced characterization of materials and components, while the main applicant has driven component development.
