Important results from the project
Phase 1 has investigated the possibility of introducing commercial consumer based evaluation centers for laundry detergents in Sweden and globally. It appears that there is a great need to replace the fossil based components with renewables. Customers ask how they can make this change. Phase 1 has shown interest from customers as well as the technical and economic potential. Environmental calculations show that there are major climate-related improvements to make, since laundry detergents and dishwashers constitute major product categories for fossil based components.
Expected long term effects
Interest from customers shows a demand for this new service. Customers are in Sweden and internationally, enabling global commercialization. Customers need to replace the fossilbased components with renewable alternatives within reasonable financial limits. Innovation opens up for reformulation of gthe detergents, creating an economic space for renewable options. Phase 1 has shown the economic conditions. By pricing the services as today´s technical methods, there are prerequisites for a good economy.
Approach and implementation
Phase 1 has been implemented according to plan. The biggest focus during the project has been towards the customers. To understand and secure their needs and demand. Discussions have been focused on sustainability and economy. Discussions have shown that the innovation opens up for reformulation, which generates an economic space for being able to add renewables instead of fossil based components. The same needs and demand have been found in Sweden and in the other countries that have been investigated. Communication will be an important factor in the continued development steps.
