Purpose and goal
The Swedish Internet Foundation will investigate how best to create a consortium that can cater for the twelve year of collected know how created in the strategic project IoT Sverige. The consortium will collaborate with as well already active actors in municipalities and regions but will also seek collaboration with parties such as authorities, academia, civil society and business.
Expected effects and result
Investigate whether the conditions exist to form a consortium that is commercially and financially sustainable and, if so, initiate it so that it can be put into operation in 2027.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is conducted in four phases 1. start-up and administrative requirements, recruitment of project manager 2. communication with stakeholders 3. late spring 2025 review of business plan, financing models, forms of cooperation 4. in parallel investigate possibilities of creating an income-generated financing model built on a common useful function The ambition is to have a clear picture of whether and how the consortium should be formed by the turn of the year 2025/26.
