Important results from the project
The purpose of the planning project CCMM is to engage the industry to identify what Swedish excellent research in marine materials could contribute to a competitive sustainable industry. CCMM strategy in the planning process is to identify and clarify the needs that will support and lead us to a 100% use of sustainable materials, to be well under the ecological capacity where the use of non-renewable materials no longer are in use.
Expected long term effects
Sustainable industry and Digital transformation in 2024 together with 38 companies (23% abroad) and with support from 2 regions. The project also produced a strategic roadmap for marine materials that will form the basis for continued work. The roadmap will be presented at EMD2023, where the project has managed to get a workshop granted (24 workshops, 137 applicants). The project has also submitted a project application to Horizon Europe with 28 partners to strengthen the networks within Europe between test sites for marine materials.
Approach and implementation
The project conducted interviews with 30 different companies at the start of the project and then the project held a joint workshop where research areas were identified which then went on to create so-called living labs for each material area as well as cross-cutting areas.
