Important results from the project
The overall aim of the project is to facilitate the decision process related to a, for Swedish automotive industry (both passenger cars and commercial vehicles), relevant technology selection. The project has resulted in the design and manufacture of compact prototypes of a modular converter concept intended for an automotive electric drive. The prototypes have been designed and manufacture and are currently being experimentally evaluated in a laboratory environment.
Expected long term effects
The project has been successful and the prototypes that were planned have been developed and are currently being evaluated at KTH. The intention is that the technology will be demonstrated for representatives of the Swedish automotive industry (corporate members of the Swedish Electro Mobility Center) at the conference "Roads to the Future" which takes place in June 2017.
Approach and implementation
Design work began at KTH and a specification was delivered to Eskilstuna Elektronik Partner AB (EEPAB). The final design was then completed at EEPAB where also the manufacturing of the prototypes were made. The prototypes have been delivered to KTH for commisioning and further experimental investigations.
