Important results from the project

The goal has been achieved to raise awareness of the ability of medtech to improve for the patient as well as increased competence supply and the importance of gender equality for sustainable development. Activities that highlight good implementation examples have shown how medtech improves the lives of patients. This also applies to lectures and mingling activities in Almedalen. At Medicinteknikdagarna, some 15 projects presented the benefits with the products they develop. Medtech4Health has developed a gender equality strategy and started training the organization.

Expected long term effects

During 2019-2020, the program´s calls and strengthening efforts were marketed at the events Mötesplats Välfärdsteknologi and Vitalis, in conjunction with MedTech week, Almedalen and Medical Technology Days. In addition, the innovation projects´ results have been presented to the general public, companies and potential buyers. Internal work has started with inclusive way of working. Now an equality strategy is in place and an internal training has been implemented. The effect of this is that more actors are aware of the calls and what products will be available in the future.

Approach and implementation

We selected strategically important events where MT4H could gain visibility such as MVTe and Vitalis. The goal is always to be able to present results and opportunities rather than buying marketing space. During European MedTech Week we showed results of our project through mailings and presentations. The Almedal activity was conducted with Swedish Medtech to increase visibility. During Medicinteknikdagarna, the results of the innovation projects were presented and what benefit they had from MT4H. Great focus on internal gender equality work within MT4H to build knowledge.
