Important results from the project
The project aims at raising the knowledge level, in first place about train- and bus drivers´ behaviour and ride comfort and travel sickness, in second place also about how these depend on different vehicle technologies and road and rail-quality. One goal is to give input to the new bus divers´ education: How can comfortable and energyefficient driving be combined?
Expected long term effects
The results will be used for Swedish driver education in comfortable driving. It will also give public transport plnners better knowledge and advice for PT planning.
Approach and implementation
Interviews with passengers and staff. Defining measures abd methods. Measuring of typical ride comfort values. Design of a discomfort warining box. Recommendations.
