Important results from the project
We create a new modern healthcare service to help doctors collaborate around radiology findings. While helping medical experts we generate information that is used to develop and train experts and machines (AI). The goal of the project has been to validate the need and to build a technical platform that address these needs.
Expected long term effects
In our user study >80% of Swedish radiologists say that they are very positive or positive to use our proposed service. We feel more confident that there is a clear need for a quick, interactive and user friendly service to help reaching the diagnosis of a radiological findings faster. We expect that our service reduces the uncertainty and improves quality in radiological reports and over time become an integrated tool for radiologists, everywhere, everyday.
Approach and implementation
To validate the unmet needs and the intended solution, we have interviewed potential users (radiologists) and conducted a national survey for Swedish radiologists. Technology has been developed together with European partners from Lithuania, Belgium and Spain. Pilot testing has been performed in a smaller scale with Swedish radiologists with focus on the user experience and function.
