Important results from the project
The process of anchoring and defining the initiatives to be included in the project were based on: Involving education-, research and valorisation perspectives Connections to areas of advance and its departments and research centers Involving educational areas and programs, to secure a higher degree of student involvement in action-based and entrepreneurial educational programs connected with research and valorization Connections to regional clusters, and its actors and also to science parks Connections to Chalmers industrial strategic partners
Expected long term effects
Based on strengths, capabilities in the Chalmers system, and the current strategy, Challenge Lab is the complementing strategic driver in strengthening the knowledge triangle further, taking collaboration to its next level and also deeper collaboration towards co-creation in some areas. We see Challenge Lab further as a vehicle to develop student involvement in collaboarative models, efforts that would strengthening the collaborative capabilities even further as well as students transdisciplinary skills through a challenge driven approach.
Approach and implementation
Workshops and seminars have been arranged on strategic as well as operational levels, in defining, evaluating and prioritizing different collaborative efforts. Priorities has been made in how well initiatives fit into the building blocks of current strategies, as well as contributing in terms of developing models to strengthening the knowledge triangle. In this effort we have also defined collaborative initiatives that will strengthen the educational aspect in the collaborations as well as forms that would open up for co-creation between academia, industry and society.
