Important results from the project
Implementation of the Cluster Conference 2020 in pandemic-adapted hybrid form, with a studio for Key Note and panel speakers to circumvent travel restrictions, and with the majority of the audience at a distance.
Expected long term effects
This year, the conference was free of charge to increase the opportunity for more individuals at companies and research actors to participate. It was also entirely in English for the first time so that the companies´ English-speaking staff at various sites can participate. We obtained a participation record this year with over 400 participants, and thus maximized the R&D dissemination effect, which is the key objectives of the conference.
Approach and implementation
The conference was a hybrid event, and the recorded Key note parts can be seen by participants at Kunskapsförmedlingen. Parallel Teams sessions were held in the afternoons and were also recorded, to be able to view afterwards. The work was performed in close collaboration with the Production R&D Cluster Management Team consisting of Volvo Cars, AB Volvo, Scania and FKG. We have gathered much experience from this hybrid event, that will be used for a more digital conference version in 2021.
