Important results from the project
The purpose of this project was to investigate reliability and usability of EasyAngle for measurement of range of motion in physiotherapy. The goal was to create clinical evidence that supports the introduction of EasyAngle in healthcare to improve the quality of care through easier, quicker and more objective measurements.
Expected long term effects
The expected effect is increased clinical acceptance for EasyAngle after a study at the Karolinska University Hospital has been done to investigate reliability and usability. This has been done and we have mentioned that studies at Karolinska are ongoing at fairs and congresses and this have had an positive effect. When the study is published we will share it on our social media and web page to further increase the effect of this project.
Approach and implementation
As the department for occupational therapy and physiotherapy at Karolinska was incorporated in NKS during the project period the project has faced some challenges. Among other things the arthritis care moved to the center or reumatology which decreased the patient flow significantly. During 2018 we applied to include them in the study which increase the patient flow. NKS has also faced organizational challenges and high staff turnover which has affected this project. However, adaptations has been made and the goal was still met.
