Important results from the project

ClimateView AB is a software startup founded in early 2018 with the mission to accelerate the global transition to carbon neutrality. The company has a singular goal: to develop a framework and software for climate transition and evidence based policy-making. Our product is ClimateView: a cloud-based climate transition management system. The scope of the project was to complete a feasibility study with the aim to submit an application for a grant in the SME Instrument Phase 2.

Expected long term effects

Our conclusion of the feasibility study is that we have a unique innovation including a framework and a technology that enables collaborative climate transition. Our primary target market as the 5 000 most populated cities in the world. The feasibility study indicates commercial viability. We now wish to finance and expand our team for intensive development of our innovation with extended pilot studies with the aim to commercialise our product.

Approach and implementation

The feasibility study is based on a close collaboration with a group of Swedish beta customers (cities and regions) with the mutual goal to explore how our innovation can help accelerate climate transitions. Simultaneously we have initiated dialogue with cities and regions in Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. We have involved numerous prominent experts and policy makers who have helped us with feedback and contacts. Based on our feasibility study, we submitted an application for a Phase 2-grant in the Green Deal call within the SME Instrument (2020-05-19).
