Important results from the project
During the project, companies have received coaching regarding circular tranformation within areas such as business models, vision & strategy, setting goals, product design, legislation, logistics, purchasing, etc. The project has contributed to the companies having: 1. gained increased knowledge of circular economy 2. gained increased knowledge of business opportunities 3. received tools that help the circular change journey 4. started or progressed in their transformation journey
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to lead to more companies accelerating their circular transformation and strengthening their long-term competitiveness, which in turn has positive effects on both environmental and economic sustainability parameters. A natural consequence of that will also be preserved or increasing job opportunities. The results are expected to have these effects also outside the participating companies because the project also worked to spread knowledge and inspire externally.
Approach and implementation
The project was run within the strategic innovation program LIGHTer in collaboration with the sister program RE:Source. A subcontractor was procured for the implementation of the coaching program. The project progressed according to plan, although a slightly longer project time would have enabled more flexibility and the opportunity to a greater extent monitor the effects of the effort. On the other hand, a shorter project means more focused work, with all the advantages that comes with that.
