Call The good and sustainable everyday food of the future - Innovations for support for Swedish processing of plant-based raw materials

Important results from the project

We have developed software to refine Swedish raw materials with standard washing machines and dryers from Electrolux in a so-called hydrothermal process/melting. We have also developed a hybrid burger for reduced meat consumption and reduced environmental impact, as well as locally produced products with increased cross-sector collaboration to achieve environmental goals and increase profitability in locally produced products.

Expected long term effects

Chicken for 4.5 Jordklot has had the objective during the feasibility study to "Develop a processing solution for grains and beans in small-scale production at the farm level, and tested bean cultivation, and processing these. To very tasty hybrid burgers with the help of development kitchens, we also have with Odling 4.0 and Berghs and developed a Matcraft game to educate middle school students. We also had a meeting with LRF and Hushållningssällskapet to possibly spread the knowledge about the development possibility. And we got hold of a laboratory to produce analyses.

Approach and implementation

In the group, we have worked to achieve the goals in our 5 APs during the project period, we have tested all steps on a small scale with chicken instead of a school kitchen, so we have hired a food studio. We can state that the process can be scaled up and that standard machines can be modified. That we can ensure the results on an ongoing basis. That we can keep investment costs down with std machines.
