Expected long term effects

ChaseOn has three concrete and measurable goals: (1) 10 cases of industrial impact (approved by the board). Outcome: 11 (2) 100 scientific publications, of which at least 50 are co-authored by academic and nonacademic partners. Outcome: 236 papers, of which 90 are co-authored (3) 9 graduated PhDs, of which at least 6 are hired by relevant industry. Outcome: 10 PhDs, of which X are hired by industry. All goals are met and exceeded.

Approach and implementation

ChaseOn consisted of 5 research projects, all comprising at least one academic partner and at least three industrial partners. ChaseOn has a joint steering board and consortium agreement with GHz Centre. The joint management has been successful in taking advantage of technical and administrative synergies. An annual center day (open to all) was arranged to spread results and stimulate increased collaboration. A strategy group was created early on to create the conditions for long-term collaboration between the parties, resulting in a new collaboration agreement for 2022-24.
