Important results from the project
The project Change Radically aimed to test and disseminate methods that facilitate the development of radical new solutions in regard to the welfare services. The changes should be based on a user perspective. All nine municipalities have involved stakeholders in the analysis and development of the new solutions. Five of the projects can demonstrate concrete examples of how radical innovation processes generated increased benefits for Citizens and society. They have provided different, better and in some cases even cheaper service.
Expected long term effects
Eight of nine municipalities have implemented the new working methods in their daily work. Furthermore, seven of the municipalities have started new projects to solve new challenges. A municipality has initiated a regional project which methods will be disseminated and used by others. The results and methods have been described in the eBook ´Radikala changes - do differently, better and to lower cost.
Approach and implementation
The project has been successful in terms of both method and content. The level of user involvement has varied, particularly in concept work. That the project was two years has greatly contributed to the ideas been scaled up and the working methods are implemented and spread.
