Purpose and goal

New ways of using hydrogen are an important part of the transition to a sustainable industry, which leads to a strongly growing market for hydrogen installations. The requirements for installers of hydrogen are currently being investigated by MSB. In order to contribute with knowledge of policy-related obstacles and opportunities, the H2 SafeCert project will do an analysis of needs and consequences and come up with a proposal for how the competence of installers can be reviewed and followed up with the help of a personal certification or other quality-assured control.

Expected effects and result

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The focus of the project is to propose, on the basis of a needs and impact analysis, how a personal certification/requirement for hydrogen installers could look like and be used to contribute to effects such as increased safety and safe supply of skills. However, the project also has potential to provide a basis for continued work that can contribute to increasing safety linked to hydrogen installations in industry in general given the consortium´s broad competence and activities.

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project is based on cooperation between the area´s actors to carry out a mapping of needs and consequences as well as a description of competences regarding personal certification for hydrogen installations. RISE has broad knowledge and extensive experience in both designing and carrying out personal certifications. Together with experts in risk and education as well as authorities, industry bodies and companies, the project aims to ensure that the solution both meets all relevant eligibility requirements and is of support in the market.
