Important results from the project
Reinforcement nets are used in slabs on ground primarily for prevention of shrinkage cracks. Cell reinforcement is composed of rows of steel rings with specific hole dimensions and orientation. Rows of rings in different directions form a net, which can be rolled up; the amount of steel reduces, the handling and mounting simplifies, and the working environment improves. The project will verify the concept for private house ground slabs. The grant defrays analysis of market, estimation of costs for the development project, and verification of technical performance and properties.
