Important results from the project
Projektet Cancerrehabilitering - Knowledge for life has the vision to create a more humane society where all cancer sufferers are entitled to a successful and evidence-based cancer rehabilitation based on their own needs. The project aims to achieve an equal, diversified and evidence-based cancer rehabilitation that is integrated into human life, based on the individual´s needs and is a support back to life. The project has been able to successfully involve representatives of cancer sufferers in the process of developing a solution that meets their and their relatives´ needs.
Expected long term effects
The project´s intended solution consists of a combination of physical and digital solutions that collect, develop and disseminate information and knowledge about self-care and rehabilitation as well as offer meeting places / lectures with the opportunity to exchange experiences for individuals with cancer and relatives. Together, these innovations create a network with several nodes that are missing today. The effects for the individual not only mean a longer life but also a good and sustainable life, where they are involved in the process of developing an individualized support.
Approach and implementation
The project´s activities have been carried out in the form of project meetings, workshops, seminars and a virtual strategic analysis. The entire consortium has been involved in the various activities with aim to strengthen the collaboration between the actors. The series of workshops together with representatives of cancer sufferers has been very important in increasing the knowledge and understanding of the needs after receiving a cancer diagnosis. An important lesson is that it takes a lot of resources to establish partership with new partners and to concretise collaboration.
