Important results from the project
The idea behind the project was to create an exciting reading/writing camp for young creative children/teens. During the project we have interviewed both children and adults, as well as conducting a thorough analysis of the market for camps in Sweden. This has given us a decision basis.
Expected long term effects
Our expectation was to get the opportunity to examine the market for children/teen camps and the interest for specifically reading/writing camps for this target group. The plan was to get a good decision basis when deciding about commercialization. But also to get a picture of what content and structure a camp should have. One effect of the examination was that we gained contacts and interest for the idea at an early stage. This led to that we already before the project hade ended made a decision to commercialize and establishing a cooperation with the City of Helsingborg.
Approach and implementation
The market examination was divided into two stages: 1. Market analysis of market size and competitors as well as alternatives for customers 2. Interviews with children / young people, parents and others with an interest in how an activity camp can be offered Based on these data, we made some conclusions about the content and price of a reading/writing camp and listed options for how the camps can be financed.
