Important results from the project
The project´s aim has been to challenge the existing housing and housing construction system by scaling up and spreading conversion to an attractive, inclusive and sustainable living environment where residents shape and influence their living environment in the entire process from planning to management. This has been carried out in all parts of the project and is described in the attached final report in its entirety. A great amount of learning and innovation work has been realised together with all partners and can now be scaled up by more residents and private building cooperatives.
Expected long term effects
We have achieved many results and can present effective outcomes in several ways. The concept of rural village developers is a concrete result that has a great effect on the local living environment. We introduce e.g. the need for the housing form of "rental cooperative". The Swedish Housing association is an innovative form of ownership and capital. Our research network has developed concrete research questions to work on further. Our Nordic network plans for intensified continued cooperation.
Approach and implementation
The management and control as well as the implementation of planned activities have worked very well. We have also been able to carry out extra requested efforts for actors in various places in Sweden. All planned activities and efforts have been carried out according to plan. One of our goals was to start moving in during the project period, but this has not happened yet. Above all, because that financial conditions deteriorated significantly in connection with the removal of the so-called investment support.
