Important results from the project

Ligna Energy´s customer value contribution in the transaction has been quantified through the project. For “Residential Solar” there is now a calculation model for customer value and sales images. It is easier to justify energy storage investments in Germany and the USA compared with Sweden. For “Vehicle Charging” the customer benefit should be that you need your stock for more than one reason combined with the need to enable fast charging. The project has also renewed our market study segmentation for the entire area Battery Energy Storage System with respect to Ligna Energy´s sales arguments and identified 5 entry markets.

Expected long term effects

The project has delivered a business case model for calculating profitability on "Residential Solar" installations, which have been used to analyze the markets in Sweden, Germany and the USA. This shows that there is a significantly shorter payback period for energy storage in USA and Germany than in Sweden. Sales images for “Residential Solar” has been created. The project has delivered a dimensioning of a battery system for intermediate storage of electricity to charge electric cars in urban environments. The project has conducted a market analysis for hedging entry markets and a Business Model Canvas report.
