Important results from the project
The purpose and goal of the project have been met, where expertise in materials preparation in Japan and biological evaluation in Sweden have been combined in an efficient way. This has resulted in an increased knowledge of bone healing around CoCr based alloys.
Expected long term effects
The outcome of the project in terms of results and expected impact has been good. Interesting scientific questions have been formulated and evaluated with interesting results. An important base has built up for future collaboration. The expertise in the respective countries has effectively been used to obtain synergistic effects on scientific inquiry.
Approach and implementation
The design and implementation of the project has been good, where we got out scientifically interesting results. The project start-up was a bit delayed due to the natural disasters in Japan, where Sendai was one of the most affected areas. Dispite this the project has worked well.
