Purpose and goal
Re-invigorating the Life Science Industry by removing bottleneck from Biology to Therapy. A Life Science Test bed infrastructure for Biology and Technology ensuring sustainable Life Science industry in Sweden catalyzing technology develoment and meeting long term competence needs in the region.
Expected effects and result
Accelerate Innovation by enabling R&D collaborations between Academia, tart-ups & industrial companies Accelerate Industrialization through a Test bed dedicated for industrial verification of new innovations: Secure excellence by utilizing the Test bed for advanced education within BioProcessing
Planned approach and implementation
Building a new BioProcess Innovation Center with approximately 2400 m2 industrial scale-up laboratories. The building will be placed in Boländerna, Uppsala closely located to the RnD & Manufacturing site of GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences AB. The Test Bed is designed for world class Biopharmaceutical production in pilot scale. Building of the Research infrastructure Test Bed is expected to take approximately 1,5 years.
