Important results from the project

BioLyftet is an educational initiative for small and mid-sized companies with the goal of raising knowledge about bio-based, recycled and recyclable materials. In 2021, BioLyftet´s basic course was arranged at four locations both digitally and physically. In the basic course, the companies learned more about sustainable materials, received coaching on how they can change their material use and developed a practical plan for how changes can take place. BioLyftet has also arranged a packaging day where the participants have received education and coaching on sustainable packaging.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Genom Biolyftet helps companies not only learn about bio-based and recycled materials but also a plan to practically begin the transition to a more sustainable use of materials. By helping more smaller companies to become more sustainable, they will be able to become more competitive in the future, while at the same time contributing to reduced waste of resources and the use of less climate-damaging materials. This leads to a better knowledge of materials and a more sustainable Swedish industry.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** BioLyftet´s training has been carried out on 4 occasions during the year together with local networks and hubs. The training is carried out over two days where the participants receive both theoretical lectures on different materials and practical workshop elements where the participants are coached with the help of experts to understand how they can change their material use.
