Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to establish a platform for advocacy on R&D issues within the EU. The platform will operate within the framework of Bioinnovation. The project´s goal was: 1) Promote increased national participation in Horizon 2020. 2) Support a strong Horizon Europe and a continuation of BBI. 3) Develop cooperation with the technology platforms. 4) Establish a Swedish SusChem. 5) Develop cooperation with Finland.
Expected long term effects
Coordinating efforts within the framework of Bioinnovation has been successful and should be develop further in the same direction. It is perceived as very interesting in Brussels when forest, chemistry and textiles come together to discuss and emphasize the need for R&D for the development of the bioeconomy. Personal presence in Brussels is of great importance. Cooperation with Finland has developed well and so far, a joint call has been made to support the upscaling of key technologies. Another joint call on the same theme will be implemented in 2019.
Approach and implementation
The project started off with an analysis of the current situation and an "ifluential map" was drawn. Based on that, detailed goals were formulated. The continued work was then focused on achieving the goals and a large number of activities have been carried out, these are reported in detail in the attached report.
