Important results from the project
The goals were to - Increase urban biodiversisty through products, services and processes for greener cities, and - create permanent demonstrations for dissemination of novel green solutions. Fulfillment of goals is very high. We have jointly built around 27 innovative green solutions, that all contribute to urban biodiversity and build upon products, services and processes for greener cities. Together they form a permanent demonstration for green solutions that is shown to potential customers through thechnical visits.
Expected long term effects
The results exceed expectations because most of our green solutions could be realised in reality, and not only be initiated as was postulatet in the application. Also innovation procurement has been tested to reach the goal on test beds. Whether the solutions are long term sustainable and have resource efficient management whith stable plant conditions remain to be proven. The relatively short project time has not allowed for any serious evaluation.
Approach and implementation
The work has to a large extent been carried out in six working groups that have produced green solutions within the fields green roofs, green facades, street trees, threedimensional greenery mobile plant systems and urban biotopes. The working groups has been multi-competent with a number of of different professions represented. Together they have been able to solve the questions of different kinds that has risen as a consequence of the tested solutions being new and previously untested in Sweden.
