Important results from the project
The goal was to secure winteruse, this has partly been completed. We made a ”box” to place the machine within to prevent freezing, but we havnt found any partner to place the box at/with. This solution enables good results in both washing and drying. All for the bike should have all functions such as brakes and gearing. Also inplemented tools for loan and airpump to tires.
Expected long term effects
Both test results with us and out in pilot projects have turned out well. We have a high response to user-friendly and washing results, we also examined willingness to pay for the service. Our "do this" information was perceived as simple. The bicycle wash was left "in peace" during the entire test period. The interest from the Stockholm Traffic Council was overwhelming.
Approach and implementation
We have further developed the machine and placed machines in several places in Stockholm and also in Åre. Keeped statistics on the use, we have tried to get the pilot project out with winter operation but have not succeeded with this. as this has met with some opposition from relevant authorities such as municipalities, the police and others. We see that the demand for bicycle washes is increasing, but that the corona has been inhibiting in contacts with affected parties. Different markets need new products.
