Important results from the project
Big Science Sweden runs a strong and well-functioning Swedish Industry Liaison Office within Big Science, with a broad national structure. The organization has well-established relationships with the research facilities and relevant Swedish research groups, as well as a national network of interested Swedish companies (approx. 270), which is under constant development.
Expected long term effects
During this three-year period, Big Science Sweden has contributed to generating Swedish deliveries to the research facilities worth approximately SEK 580 million. The focus has been on contributions within high-tech, which drives research, innovation and international cooperation. The project has also contributed to transferring new knowledge, technology and competence from the facilities to Swedish stakeholders through a number of collaborative projects.
Approach and implementation
Big Science Sweden has organized its work within six interlinked work packages. The organization has a strong national base within Sweden, with personnel resources that possess deep knowledge in relevant areas, such as technology, business development and communication. The organization has built sustainable relationships with research facilities, as well as with Swedish researchers and industry.
