Important results from the project
The aim was to plan and implement Bergforsdagarna, a 2 days conference on mining related research and innovation in Luleå. The goal was to form a meetingplace for research and innovation in the Swedish mining industry, and have strong and satisfied participation from both industry and academy.
Expected long term effects
Bergforskdagarna took place 21-22 May in Luleå and had 120 participants from academy and mining related industry. The participants were verty satisfied with the days which created stronger links between the academy and industry. Knowledge of the effects on education and industry regarding the Swedish Mining research program was presented during the days.
Approach and implementation
The conference was from lunch-lunch and divided into four dfferent themes; outlook, sustainability, future mining and the research landscape. The public participated in open discussions with the speakers. The participants were very satisfied with the days but asked for a bit longer breaks for mingle and networking. They also asked for a presentation from an ongoing mining project.
