Important results from the project

The purpose of BBI´s activities and this project is to create the best conditions for a regional incubator that can offer professional business development and coaching for young Startups with sustainable innovative business. BBI implements quality-assured programmes and processes and can offer several different types of early seed capital to quickly, easily and efficiently expose and verify ideas to a relevant market. We provide a unique regional, national and international network that gives our companies unique benefits for global growth.

Expected long term effects

The most important effect is more jobs and that more companies are established. The expanding academic collaboration is an important results that provide increased relevant deal flow to the incubator. Agenda 2030 has become a natural part of the companies´ business models, and the companies that have identified the best business models aligned to 2030 objective are the ones that have raced most VCs. A not entirely unimportant, involuntary effect, companies are quickly forced into a digital transformation due to the pandemic which in the future will be a guiding star and success factor.

Approach and implementation

The basis is our programme Startup- & Scaleup Program. In step one, the purpose is to verify that the idea has a business at its core. To clarify uniqueness and what is required to take the next step e.g. resources, competencies, etc. If the Startups manages to ensure & verify that you qualified for next step, Scaleup Program, where business, team & culture are refined. Our analysis of the period is that it worked well, But with increased collaboration with the incubators in Skåne and other national actors, our programme will in future consist of 4 steps: Preink, Startup, Scaleup & Accelerate
