Important results from the project
Project MEGA has as its purpose and objective to develop a new and more efficient process for the compaction of waste materials compared to current processes and to develop the MEGA process into a technical and commercially functioning compression method for the compaction of waste. The MEGA process has been developed and proves to provide a significantly more efficient compression method, where high capacity and high energy efficiency per ton of material produced are distinctive compared to traditional compression methods.
Expected long term effects
Expected effects and results of the MEGA process have been greatly increased capacity and reduced energy consumption per ton of material produced. The MEGA process meets these expected effects and results through up to 100% capacity increase and a significant increase in energy efficiency per ton of material produced compared to conventional compression methods.
Approach and implementation
Development of process, technology, construction, manufacture and validation of baler based on the MEGA process has been carried out with resources within the company supplementing with external resources in the form of consultants.
