Important results from the project

The goal was to verify a method and equipment for efficient and sustainable autonomous weed control in orchards and to make preparations for a commercialization. We have developed and verified a technical solution for autonomous weed control, with very high precision, in orchards.

Expected long term effects

Our solution works well. Field tests have yielded the desired results and we see good opportunities in developing the solution into a commercial product.

Approach and implementation

During the project, we have worked with: 1. Building a robust tool for precision spraying, which integrates with our existing robot. 2. Conduct and evaluate a pilot study in an orchard. 3. Patents protect the technology. 4. In collaboration with growers and their organisations, develop a sustainable business model. 5. Initiate contacts with possible financiers. 1) Completed with good results. 2) Completed with good results. 3) Working with now, we haven´t decided which parts to protect. 4) An ongoing work, an upcoming rule changes in the EU will be of great importance. 5) In progress.
