Purpose and goal
The goal of this study is to generate, analyze and discuss concepts for autonomous supply of media for underground drilling machinery. Visualizations, schematic designs, and technical reports will illustrate and document the novel concepts and facilitate their analysis with respect to engineering complexity, advantages, drawbacks, and industrial applicability. The project will create important analytical insights into future autonomous designs.
Expected effects and result
The study will generate technical reports, concept visualizations, and feasibility analysis results for novel methods towards autonomous media supply for underground mining machinery such as drill rigs. A review of the state-of-the-art technology available for implementing a fully autonomous media supply pipeline will identify potential technology gaps that need to be addressed in future innovation and R&D projects.
Planned approach and implementation
For efficiently achieving the defined project goals, the feasibility study is divided into the following work packages (WP): WP1: Project Management and Risk Identification WP2: Industry Engagement and Current Practices Analysis WP3: Concept Development and Visualization WP4: Technology Analysis and Gap Identification WP5: Roadmap Development and Stakeholder Engagement
