Important results from the project
The project goal was to introduce aeroponics as a farming method in a commercial setting, optimization models in the mathematical sense and a better automation process compared to traditional farming.
Expected long term effects
A successful growth module was developed, a sowing machine as well as optimization models. In order to improve the optimization models and receive conclusive results, more systematic experimentation has to be conducted in the growth modules.
Approach and implementation
The innovation has been derived primarily from a functional specification where the focus has been to enable optimization of models and a substantial increase in automation compared to traditional farming methods. The work process has been iterative in the sense that many versions has been made before the final working prototype was finished.
