Through this work, a number of conclusions have been drawn that are now the basis for future strategic activities.

Expected long term effects

ASK has created a unique overview of the current state by surveying upwards of 140 ongoing activities. In the process of identifying good examples among these, the parameters that actually makes it a good example has been defined. A structure has been built in the compilation of activities that makes it possible that through different searchable criteria also identify areas where activities are lacking. As a result, a number of suggestions for future paths regarding the industry´s possibilities for upshifting and interchanging activities in the compilation has been put forth.

Approach and implementation

ASK has conducted a mapping of ongoing activities that aim to raise the attractivity of the metal industry, and that aim to enhance the appeal of education that can lead to work in the metal industry. The compilation of these activities is searchable from aspects like different target groups and regional affiliation. To enrich the analysis of the material, interviews has been conducted with representatives for a large number of the activities. A subreport has been produced on the current state of different aspects of the swedish metal industry to help set the result in a deeper context.
