Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to contribute with innovative solutions for increasing social sustainability in vulnerable urban communities such as miljonprogram areas. The goal of the project was to build a consortium of interesting partners and identify an action plan for how at least two solutions for UA under glass could be realized. The goals have been realised as we now have a consortium of 14 actors and two locations suitabkle for realizing urban farming under roof. We are thus on the right track for fullfilling the purpose of the project.
Expected long term effects
Results: A consortium of 14 actors have been built, två places in miljomprogram areas (Alby and Holma) have been identified as suitable for cultivation under glass, dialouges with users have been initiated, some technical investigations have been carried out and a market analysis made.
Approach and implementation
Several methods have been used: Mettings and workshops, totally nine. Study tours, two. Social, economical and technical analyses (of UA and social impacts and of the feasibility of the proposed garage in Alby) Literature studies of what is going on internationally, business models and the social aspects of UA.
